With the Vliegende Draeck (Flying Dragon), you can go sailing just the way you like it. Families, companies and schools alike will have a great time on the Vliegende Draeck. History

Before she was the Vliegende Draeck, in her time as a freighter she was called Lauwerszee, Hendie, Betsy and again Lauwerszee. The Vliegende Draeck was built in Makkum in 1909 and served as a freighter until 1993, after which she was converted into a charter vessel and given her current name.

Facilities on the Vliegende Draeck

The two-masted clipper Vliegende Draeck is a spacious and modern sailing vessel. The Vliegende Draeck can accommodate 40 daytrip guests and sleep 30 guests in 4 four-bed cabins and 7 double cabins, all with their own washbasins. For them, 3 toilets and 3 showers are available.

Below deck, one finds a spacious and sleekly decorated seating area with high tables and benches and even a TV. The galley offers the cook a 6-burner cooker with oven, very large fridge and a beer tap. Above deck, guests can  lounge on the deck.
