Adventurers, this is the sailing trip for you!
The clipper Eendracht is offering a very special sailing trip this year: a sailing ramble to the Eastern Wadden Sea. During this trip, we sail all the way to Schiermonnikoog, the Engelsmanplaat and all those other beautiful places on the Eastern Wadden.
This is a sailing trip for real adventurers! Scrambling over sandbanks, narrow gullies and gullies, living to the rhythm of nature. After watching the sun set unobstructed, you can then retire to the comfortable lower deck.

Landlubber, please note: a ship sails where the wind takes her. The program below is just an example. The exact program will be determined on board according to the tide.
This sailing ramble to the Eastern Wadden Sea begins in our home port of Harlingen. A beautiful old harbour town. Are you arriving early? Then we definitely recommend you to take a stroll through the town centre. Once on board, you will meet the crew and your fellow travellers. The route for this week will be mapped out.
During this voyage, the flat-bottomed boat with its shallow draught and leeboards gets to show what she was made for: not an easy crossing, but a real roaming trip through shallow waters. On Monday morning, the ship leaves port starboard and we sail to our first destination, Englishman’s Plate, where a large seal colony has its home.
Once we have sailed past this plate, the real sailing ramble begins. There are no large channels on the Eastern mudflats, so the skipper has to pay close attention. This sand hump underwater, would we still get over it, or would we get stranded for a while? So we scramble to Schiermonnikoog: the smallest Dutch Wadden Island. Where it is quiet and nature still has its way.
After the visit to “Schier”, we sail to Lauwersoog, on the border between Friesland and Groningen and then head further east, how far will we get? The wind and tide will determine! There are no more large buoys here, just a few sticks poked into the sand giving silent hints as to what might be the best route. Several times we will run aground and pull free again, and even fall completely dry and sail on again the next morning. This sailing ramble across Eastern mudflats promises an adventurous trip!
During this trip you will enjoy full board. All meals and snacks will be taken care of by the cook. Any dietary requirements will of course be taken into account. To enable him/her to conjure great dishes from the galley, he/she will occasionally need your help with the preparation and washing up. Water, tea, coffee and milk are included. Soft drinks, lemonade, beer and wine can be purchased by the glass at reasonable prices.
You will stay in a cabin with bunk bed, mirror and wash basin. The bed is already made for you and towels are provided. You can be assigned to a cabin with one fellow traveller of the same sex. If you book with more than one person, we will of course share you with them. Showers and toilets are shared with all crew members. The common room has ample seating, books and games. On some ships you will find a sound system and/or musical instrument.
