Sailing with the children

Suppose you ask a child: do you want to go to a cottage this vacation, or on an adventure? Then we bet what the answer is! Excitement, new friends, getting a breath of fresh air on the beach, flying kites, playing pirates, hoisting sails, catching crabs or playing with sand and water. You will find all this in our family sailing trip! It is a package especially for families with children of all ages! You sail with multiple families. Grandpas, grandmas, uncles and aunts are of course also welcome!

The program of sailing with the children

Landlubber, please note: a ship sails where the wind takes her. The program below is only an example. The exact program will be determined on board according to the tide.

Sailing experience is not necessary! The kids decide how crazy we make it with sailing: nice and quiet or a little more exciting.
For five days we will roam the Wadden Sea where there is something to do everywhere! On the first day we welcome you all on board and the ship sets sail. As soon as we leave the harbor, the sails will be set. Who will help?

The skipper sets course for Terschelling and you can enjoy the view, play games, help sail or chill on deck. The sailor will lovingly teach you all kinds of sailor’s knots. Do the parents join in, or do they watch?

Once in port, you can do your own thing. To the beach, shopping or crab fishing perhaps. Meanwhile, the cook prepares the food and will continue to spoil you with lots of goodies for the rest of the vacation. In the evening, everyone can retire contentedly to his or her cabin.

During midweeks, there may be dry landings on the way to the next island. Watch from the ship as the sea floor gets closer and closer! Who dares to go into the water first? There are all kinds of critters on the sea floor, what an adventure!

You see, during a sailing trip the children don’t have to be bored. While they are having fun, you can enjoy the sunshine.

The Care

During this trip you will enjoy full board. All meals and snacks will be taken care of by the cook. Any dietary requirements will of course be taken into account. To enable him/her to conjure great dishes from the galley, he/she will occasionally need your help with the preparation and washing up. Water, tea, coffee and milk are included. Soft drinks, lemonade, beer and wine can be purchased by the glass at reasonable prices.

You will stay in a cabin with bunk bed, mirror and wash basin. The bed is already made for you and towels are provided. Showers and toilets are shared with all on board. The common room has ample seating, books and games. On some ships you will find a sound system and/or musical instrument.

The price also includes final cleaning, harbor fees, tourist tax and insurance from the Package Travel Guarantee Scheme.
The port of departure and arrival for this voyage is Harlingen.

N.B. You can book these trips with a maximum of 8 people. For more persons you can rent a ship exclusively for your party.
