Summer is starting, it’s getting warmer, the days are long and the nights are short – the perfect time to come aboard for a wonderfully relaxing sailing weekend!
The starting port Harlingen, home port of the fleet of Historic Sailing Vessels Harlingen and Traditional Sailing Charter, is a very cosy town on the Wadden Sea, with many cafés, restaurants and bars around its harbours.

On Friday afternoon from 3pm, captain Erik Querngester will welcome you aboard his Oost-Vlieland. Erik is an experienced sailor and knows the Wadden Sea and Wadden Sea like the back of his hand.
A sailing trip aboard the Oost-Vlieland is ideal for those who prefer to sail with smaller groups.
You will immediately feel at home on this cosy ship.

From Harlingen, you sail to beautiful destinations on the Wadden Sea.
Sailing experience is not necessary; the skipper does of course need help setting and lowering the sails and you will soon be able to take the helm on this handy ship.
Of course, there is also plenty of time to just relax and enjoy the pleasant sea air.

Favourite destinations are the Wadden Islands such as Terschelling and Vlieland.
After sailing, you can stroll through the small streets with their many cafés and shops or hire a bike and explore the island. If you prefer things a little quieter, you can just find a quiet spot on the islands’ kilometres of beaches .

Together with your fellow sailors, you will prepare meals over the weekend.

On Sunday morning, you will return to the port of Harlingen. A short sailing holiday, which feels like a full-fledged holiday because of the many new experiences.
You will say goodbye to Erik and Oost-Vlieland with many new memories in your luggage!
