Texel has 7 villages, 4 museums, 120 km cycle path and numerous hiking trails.  there are more Texel sheep than  houses.

Sheep

Of the wool of this famous sheep, quilts are created. The Texel lamb meat is a delicacy. This is because the lambs eat salt grass.
