Sailingcharter Oost-Vlieland

The “Oost-Vlieland” was built in 1926 in Makkum for fishing on the Dutch coastal waters. Nowadays, the ship can accommodate 10 people. In the winter of 2016/2017, the former skipper of the Bisschop van Arkel “Erik” restored the ship and made it shine again. The lower deck is divided in five double cabins, a large dayroom and plenty of deck space. The Oost-Vlieland offers privacy and a great comfort for the guests.

The Oost-Vlieland is particularly suitable for families with children and small groups who are looking for a very special sailing experience. With the ship owner “Erik” you’ll find an always good-humored, helpful and very experienced skipper on board. It is well appreciated if you help hoisting the sails and the control may be taken over by every passenger on board.

The Skipper

Erik Querngester

Erik is a skipper from the very beginning, started in 1982 with his first ship. For many years now he has been sailing the Wadden Sea, IJsselmeer, Baltic Sea and coastal waters on many ships, and he is now the owner of the Oost-Vlieland. This is a cosy family ship, fully equipped. And despite the many years of wandering around at sea, Erik still enjoys every day sailing on the Wadden Sea with his guests.
