Say goodbye to 2023 in silence and welcome 2024

We have often sought peace and space in the past year; ships were anchored on the Wad during beautiful summer nights, or fell dry on a sandbank with the setting sun or were celebrating a party on the beautiful deserted Kornwerderzand.

We will continue in this atmosphere and so we want to end 2023 with a beautiful New Year’s Eve package on board the Frisian Maatkast Ideal.
The package is entirely taken care of; the cook provides “waking up” breakfasts, “outdoor lunches”, “atmospheric hot meals” and “tasty snacks”.

What does the arrangement look like?

• Friday evening 29-12-2023, 8 pm: embarkation on board the Ideal in the port of Harlingen
• Saturday 30-12-2023: Departure Harlingen to Vlieland. Arrival on Vlieland around 3 pm. Drinks and dinner from 6 pm
• Sunday 31-12-2023: Departure from Vlieland, onto the Wad.
ArieJan Koeman, skipper of the Ideal, is looking for a beautiful sandbank and to the rhythm of the tide the ship dries up, it loosens again, it dries up again …… .. In this beautiful atmosphere, say goodbye to a special year and greetings we in peace 2024.
• Monday 01-01-2024: with water under the ship and a rising sun, the ship sails back to Harlingen.

Sailing around old and new is an experience in itself. A journey across the Wadden Sea, to the rhythm of the tide and the weather, in the most beautiful nature reserve of Northern Europe, the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea.
The program is aimed at, but sometimes nature is forced and the cruise looks very different. Remains that you will make a wonderful journey in a special ambiance, with excellent care.
