Our flatbottom sailing ships, with home port Harlingen, are excellent for sailing on tidal waters. The Wadden Sea, with its constant tidal cycle, has been our navigation zone for many years. Around this tidal we both offer you a fantastic company outing.

What are they like, the outings?

A day:

The tidal trip starts and ends in Harlingen, a beautiful seaport situated directly on the Wadden Sea.
Around 9 am and you will be welcomed with coffee/tea and cake.

About two hours before low tide to the ship arrives at the location where it will beach. The anchor goes into the water and then we wait . This waiting is far from boring. Meanwhile you can see the water disappear. Enjoy the space and the tranquillity of the Wadden Sea. At this moment the skipper puts the ladder outside the ship an you can leave the ship and make a nice walk for a few hours. Than the water starts to rise again.

24 HOURS:

An unique package!

In 24 hours you will explore all aspects of the Wadden Sea . Sailing, beaching and and stay overnight on the Waddensea.

You can embark, in the beautiful old harbor of Harlingen,  one of our sailingvessel. The skipper and mate will wish you a warm welcome and after you are installed in your cabin, the Skipper will explain the ins and out of the sailing and life aboard a tall classic ship.

The sailingvessel sails from the port to a beautiful spot for beaching. After a beautiful sail, the anchor is put down at the place where the ship will beach. On a beautiful summer evening you can walk on the sandbank and you can make a nice walk on the bottom of the Wadden Sea.

When its getting dark and the water comes back after a while the ship floats again. With the sound of rippling water youwill fall asleep. In the early morning the ship beaches again and you can experience the Wad again on an early summer morning.

In the morning the ship will come loose again and sails back to Harlingen.

During the trip you can prepare your own food in the well-equipped kitchens but you can order catering; a cook takes care of the purchase and preparation of all meals.
