School outings are the ideal way of starting or finishing a school year. During a school outing your students will get introduced to each other or get to know each other better. And this contributes to better study results and a better atmosphere.

You can draw inspiration from the activity programme in our school brochure for fascinating topics for your school sailing outing on an historic sailing ship. We also provide you with the opportunity to follow a specific programme during school outings under guidance of an experienced instructor of the Waddenhuis.
Do you have your own programme for the sailing trip?
The skipper will take that into account during the school outing as much as possible. Based on a current weather forecast and the tide table you can plan the trip together with the skipper.
Onboard during school outings
All school outings on water start with going aboard. Next, the cabins are assigned and the skipper informs you and your students about the rules of conduct on board and in ports and about sailing during the school outing. During school outings on one of our historic sailing ships, we aim for each student to actively participate in the sailing.
Thanks to our Wadden Menu you do not need to worry about the inner man during the outing.
We supply the sailing ship with enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the entire duration of the school outing. In the instruction booklet for the Wadden Menu you can read which products you are required to use each day of the school outing. After two days you only need to restock fresh bread and milk. For you as the organiser of school outings this is one thing less to worry about!
