Sailing spectacle with the Blues in and around the Wadden!
The blues cruise is a weekend sailing trip from Harlingen to Vlieland and back with blues bands and blues lovers.
Historic Dutch sailing vessels, called tjalks, which were built around the year 1900, are used for this sailing trip. Passengers get on board on Friday evening and spend the night there as well. In the evening the blues bands in Harlingen – DE LICHTBOEI [the light buoy] – will play their heavy, rocking and swinging blues.
On Saturday morning, after breakfast and some brief sailing instructions, we will set course for Vlieland.
Sailing experience is not required; there is an experienced crew on board. After a gorgeous day of sailing on the Wadden Sea, the vessels will moor in the port of Vlieland. The blues bands will once again perform after the evening meal, but this time in cafés in the town of East Vlieland. On Sunday we sail back to Harlingen.
